With the fourth volume of the series "Yiddistik: Edition & Forschung" (Yiddish Studies: Edition & Research), a comprehensive and multifaceted collection of modern Yiddish short stories in standardized orthography is available for the first time. The selection includes works by three authors and provides insights into the Yiddish worlds in Europe during the interwar period and after the Shoah, in the USA and in Israel. The book is opened for the Yiddish text corpus including Yiddish preface (Hebrew script) from the right and for the German and English preface from the left. Some of the short stories previously published only in periodicals are made available here for the first time in book form.
